I had an absolutely amazing experience. In fact, it was so unique that I almost decided not to write anything about it.
My amateur writing capabilities would never ever be enough to capture this nature’s splendor. I shudder to think how I can describe night skies chalked with infinite stars and a very milky Milky Way. I also cannot conjure how I can paint out a picture of turquoise glacial lakes protected by the rockiest of mountains. Sure, I can vomit a host of digital jpeg’s from my camera to make a point but it should be known that the images that lay etched in my brain, no camera can ever reproduce. No matter what the focal length or the ISO setting, what I saw atop a 6500 feet canyon will always stay unparalleled.
Yet, over the next series of posts, I will try to highlight the panoramas I witnessed. I will no doubt stray off course and perhaps mention the mishaps that happen with first time camper. And while nature was a very worthy companion in all this, I was joined in my adventure with two other wanderers. Missy, the Canadian, came to the party with her practicality and the much needed woman’s touch to the adventure. Mr. Tilley, the German flew in to provide the much needed inebriated hydration the way only a German can. Both these friends made my travels unforgettable.
All in all, we flew 3000 odd miles in the air, drove 3500 miles in a Minivan and walked 40 plus miles through some of the most gorgeous bits of United States. If this sounds even remotely appealing, then please do come back for the next few posts as I attempt to journal my travels in the remote West.
How very fancy! I'm excited to hear more 🙂
Sounds Interesting!!:D
I will def. come back to read more of your adventures!:)
