It’s that time of the year again; when adventure beckons and the pioneer in me awakens. This time we head east, very east. As east can east can go!
My friend, his German beauty and I plan to traverse endless miles towards the Acadia National Park in Maine. En route and on the way back we plan to annex new states of Rhode Island, Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont.
Besides bumping up my state count, I am certain that there would be substantial addition to my American experiences. Geographically I am likely to see the north eastern vistas where mountains are littered amongst deltas. The first sunrise on American soil would pay us a visit. Our hikes would be festooned by vast views of the Atlantic Ocean. On the road, I am looking forward to eating boiled lobsters served in a newspaper. And culturally I am expecting to witness old money and founding state pageantry in Vermont and New Hampshire.
The thing with road trips is that at worst you have an O.K experience. But in most cases, the things you see, feel and eat far outweigh the hassles, the uncomfortable long drives and grumpy looking clothes and appearances. The fact that this road trip allows me to use a Porsche Cayman and camping in the same sentence already highlights the sense or upcoming adventure and/or trouble.
And that is a fool proof recipe in my cookbook
