I have been tagged by Nupur to write a 55 word story. Here is my shot at nothingness.
“I don’t love you any more”, Jennifer said calmly.
David was stunned. In all these years, he never worried about the six-speed transmission. But now, every time he down-shifted he heard a definitive thud. Could it be the clutch, he wondered. Thoroughly distracted, he turned to his wife and said “What was that honey?”
