And so, the white has dwarfed the green.
The lingering coolness now grows into the distinct adult coldness.
Sun, as mighty as it is, is suppressed early in the day.
It’s beautiful, the serenity of white.
It’s sickening, the listless empty sky.
A sure footed crunch now is interspersed with a sloppy slosh,
The walk home is longer and colder.
Yet the air is cleaner, the sight much prettier.
Amongst weather that would soon change,
A boy and his world will soon follow.
A November that is today and will grow into a whiter, colder December tomorrow, for you perhaps… for some the seasons simply change their names!
Liked your verse.
hey A, thanks for the comment! I saw plenty verses on ur blog too.. much too deep for me..but nevertheless intriguing!
and all this for 6 mths!! it snowed only once in atlanta 😛
Hey dush…like wat you wrote…like i always do…and dont worry…india aint that cold so i guess u should be quite ok here…if u ever decide to come..!!
Nupur: You are just jealous cause you dont get snow!
Paree: India..will always be a nice warm place to come to…and hopefully i shall be there soon basking on the sands of wonderful Goa!
sigh!!It never snows in Atlanta!:-(
(My mom back in India still finds it hard to believe
that there are warmer places here)
She associates America with snow ,overcoats and christmas carols,( and defintely a lot more, anyways all that’s unimportant here)!!
well said !
Good post, dude. Always fun to read your blog.
I have a complaint though. “ND – Man of sorts” either means of one kind or another or out of sorts.
How about changing it to “ND – Down to earth, but still above you all” or something of that SORT.
And do write more of such verses man. Laterz.
Your explaination is exactly why i named you that! But if you dont like it i shall change it soon!
