Happy Birthday

You and me have known each other for a year. You thrived on my ability to exude love for four wheels and to induce drama. You have been helped and nudged along by fellow net seekers. I shall thank them from your behalf.

At the same time, I thank you for taking me through airports, planes, lazy afternoons, lonely nights, busy days at work, snow, rain, darkness and despair.

My laptop thanks you for all the posts he had to work hard on, for spelling and grammar. He liked the exercise.

Here’s wishing to another event filled year!

  • hey..congrats..
ur last post seemed almost epiphanic..
it is ok to term ‘givin up’ as ‘letting go’..even if it was merely rhetoric..jus for a moment i wanted to sit back n think wht if i cud perfect the art..
trouble is tho..even if i come to terms with the terminology, i kno its much more than tht!

  • Hey Upasna

Thanks for visiting. I hope you stumble back on in the future.

I did wonder why you though the post was epiphanic, even more so after refreshing myself with the dictionary meaning of the word.

Liked what you had to say otherwise. Very interesting

  • Thanks..:)

Somewhere, between my campus and my apartment I changed. It was as if during my thirteen minute walk home in the sultry snow I lost myself and found a new Dushyant.
this is y i felt is was epiphanic..w/o the Christian connotation epiphany to me is a sudden realisation, intuitive wich changes a certain important part of me..
Oh n hv stumbled on ur blog on prev occasions too..but was reluctant to comment..me not being a ‘car’ person actually..and then didnt feel ‘educated’ enuf to comment on the car-related posts hence!..

  • I get it now! And please feel free to comment on any post of mine. You shall see though cars form my spine, i often write about the flesh surrounds it!

    Please keep visiting.

  • DW can you help me on this? Would you reccomend anyone to buy a BMW 3 series 2nd hand car? Is it really worth the pinch in the wallet (when it comes to maintannance)?
How about a VW Jetta? I would appreciate any help!

  • As sad as it sounds, if you ever consider buying a used car and you want to reach office every day without any issues, then you cannot look beyond Toyota’s, Honda’s and Nissan’s.

A used 3 series is not a good idea as the previous owner is more likely to have driven the guts off it. An VW also has had plenty of maintainance issues in this country.

Of course we need to talk more. Call me, i can definitely recommend some good buys. But in the end, its your money!

  • We work like a horse.
    We eat like a pig.
    We like to play chicken.
    You can get someone’s goat.
We can be as slippery as a snake.
    We get dog tired.
We can be as quiet as a mouse.
We can be as quick as a cat.
Some of us are as strong as an ox.
    People try to buffalo others.
Some are as ugly as a toad.
We can be as gentle as a lamb.
Sometimes we are as happy as a lark.
Some of us drink like a fish.
We can be as proud as a peacock.
A few of us are as hairy as a gorilla.
You can get a frog in your throat.
We can be a lone wolf.
But I’m having a whale of a time!

You have a riveting web log
    and undoubtedly must have
    atypical & quiescent potential
    for your intended readership.
May I suggest that you do
    everything in your power to
    honor your encyclopedic/omniscient
    Designer/Architect as well
    as your revering audience.

    Please remember to never
    restrict anyone’s opportunities
    for ascertaining uninterrupted
    existence for their quintessence.

There is a time for everything,
    a season for every activity
under heaven. A time to be
born and a time to die. A
time to plant and a time to
harvest. A time to kill and
a time to heal. A time to
tear down and a time to
rebuild. A time to cry and
a time to laugh. A time to
grieve and a time to dance.
    A time to scatter stones
and a time to gather stones.
A time to embrace and a
time to turn away. A time to
search and a time to lose. A
time to keep and a time to
throw away. A time to tear
and a time to mend. A time
to be quiet and a time to
speak up. A time to love
and a time to hate. A time
for war and a time for peace.

    Best wishes for continued ascendancy,

P.S. One thing of which I am sure is
that the common culture of my youth
is gone for good. It was hollowed out
by the rise of ethnic “identity politics,”
then splintered beyond hope of repair
by the emergence of the web-based
    technologies that so maximized and
facilitated cultural choice as to make
the broad-based offerings of the old
mass media look bland and unchallenging
    by comparison.”
