It really doesn’t have to be a Super-car. The vaguely metal body does not need to house an exotic engine. Nor does it have look like a sketch made by a 12 year old in his mathematics book or by that of an Italian car designer. All that I see when I look, are four honest wheels, a hard working engine and mechanical linkages to tie it all together. The automobile, as we all know it, is as inspiring as ever.
The stunning 300 SLA visit to the very impressive Mercedes museum in Stuttgart rekindled all emotions that stirred within me when I was younger. The history of the automobile is amazing and its place in our social structure is underrated at best. As mode of transportation, it has provided us with countless memories of all things good and bad. We have lived, loved and died in them.
Today, The technologies are rapidly changing. But yet, the four wheels continue to roll with the same simplicity. The view from the windshield is still of the road ahead and the ability to stop progress still lies within your right foot. It really doesn’t matter if you don’t feel the same way as I do about cars. This is not an attempt to convince you otherwise. If anything, this is merely a plea for you to turn back and give your car a slight loving tap, as you hear her engine tick itself cool.
There are few who would think of cars like you do, but the feel and zest in the first place, whether for cars or anything else is a superlative feeling! 🙂
