With Jen though, he remembered everything. The first time wasn’t magical or a spectacle. It was more a common understanding of the lips with no involvement of tongue. It was a soft coupling, without much thought or long winded romantic babbles. It was spontaneous yet entirely mutual with equal degrees of incline. It was under a tree. It was when neither of them was over dressed. And lastly there wasn’t any analysis after. Just perhaps, interlaced fingers that avoided sweaty palms! To David, it could not have been better.
And if he remembered his first so well, he considered why he must forget the last, assuming that Jen too would leave one day. So promptly turned his attention back to her and uttered slowly.
“Jen?” he said.
“What?” Jennifer replied.
“If you do decide to leave or if I mess up, promise me that, when we part with a final kiss, you will clearly indicate so! This way I can make a mental note of the kisses and their supporting cast members”
“Keep this kinda talk up and you will pretty much have that last peck soon”, she scowled with her eyes.
Defeated, David decided internally that he would treat each kiss with her as the last one and leaned in.
knowing that the last one is often forgotten? Shouldn't it be like the first one?
And I like the surety David has. He assumes he'll never leave, she won't mess up either. I like that
Upasna: I am not sure why people like David. he seems pretty weird 🙂
lol!
